About The Vice Rectorate for Academic Affairs


​The Vice Rectorate for Academic Affairs was established by virtue of Directive No. 26345 dated 1436/06/15h to fulfill the mission and vision of the university in the field of academic affairs. It was previously engaged in the field of "Academic Affairs" under the name of the University Vice Rectorate, created by the decision of the Higher Education Council No. 1433/71/10, approved by the Royal directive No. 7385 dated 1434, and assigned to the vice Rectorate the  academic affairs and all related electronic infrastructure, information technology and educational technology at the university.


The Vice Rectorate ​for Academic Affairs oversees the development and implementation of educational programs at the Bachelor level at all eleven branches of the University and its four faculties:

  1. College of Administrative and Financial Sciences.

  2. College of Computing and Informatics.

  3. Faculty of Health Sciences.

  4. Faculty of Science and theoretical studies.

 

​Duties:

  • Assist the Rector of the University in the management of the administrative units affiliated to it.

  • Manage the educational process at the university and provide the necessary requirements.

  • Develop educational programs and study plans for the for the Bachelor Degree level in accordance with the requirements of national development requirements and the requirements of the labor market.

  • Implement the University's admissions and registration policies and follow up the implementation of the approved standards.

  • Monitor the intake capacity of the University's programs.

  • Follow up the implementation of the educational process at the main campus as well as the University's branches.

  • Follow up the implementation of educational strategies that correspond to the educational model adopted by the University.

  • Direct colleges and scientific departments to improve the educational process and help them overcome obstacles that may face.

  • Participate in providing efficient academic staff necessary to implement the programs of the university.

  • Follow up the use of educational technologies in the educational process and make use of all the educational tools provided by the learning management system "Blackboard" available at the University.

  • Supervise the use and development of educational applications and technologies at the university.

  • Pursue and encourage​​ student activities to enhance the spirit of initiative and responsibility of the students.

  • Prepare ​of manuals and brochures about the university programs and student activities.

  • Train faculty members and students to master the use of education technologies.

  • Implement academic partnerships at local and International level.

  • Supervise the preparation of plans for the development of education technology services provided within the University and to other parties and follow-up implementation.

  • Apply the blended learning model which integrates traditional education with e- learning.

  • Develop the blended learning model to enable the university to become a benchmark in this field locally and regionally.

  • Provide educational outputs that meet the requirements of the labor market and contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of the Kingdom's economy.

  • Provide an educational environment that ensures optimal interaction between faculty, students and management.

  • Upgrade student activities and consider them a major component in the educational process.

  • Attract outstanding faculty members.

  • Qualify the university educational programs to achieve the total quality standards and academic accreditation requirements.

  • Document the International strategic partnerships and take advantage of global educational models in the blended learning model.
