The Standing Committee for Conferences and Scientific Participation
Committee tasks:
- Proposing the rules, standards, procedures, and forms for nomination to conferences and seminars, and submitting them to the relevant authorities for approval.
- Considering nomination requests from faculty members and those of similar status for conferences and seminars, in accordance with the approved regulations and standards.
- Submitting nomination applications to the Ministry for approval.
- Creating a database of faculty attendance and participation in scientific conferences and events.
- Consideration of requests for scientific communication and scientific leave, and their respective progress reports.
- Other tasks assigned to the committee.
The Standing Committee for Promotions
Committee tasks:
- Examining the documents of the applicant for promotion to the rank of Associate Professor and Professor and verifying that the conditions and regulatory procedures are met.
- Selecting referees to evaluate the research of the applicant for promotion.
- Sending the research and data to the referees for evaluation.
- Consideration of referees' reports and reports on the applicant's activity in teaching and service to the university and community.
- Recommending whether to approve or reject the promotion.
The Standing Committee for Research, Scientific Publication, and Excellence Rewards
Committee tasks:
- Reviewing applications for the Excellence Allowance Award, approved by the department and college councils to which the applicant belongs, to ensure that they meet the requirements.
- Nominating research deserving of the excellence bonus reward, specifying the value of the reward, and recommending this to the Scientific Council to take the necessary action.
- Consideration of what is submitted to the Scientific Council in the form of scientific output for publication in the name of the Saudi Electronic University, whether authored, translated, or edited.
- Selecting referees to evaluate the books submitted to the council.
- Sending the books to the reviewers for evaluation.
- Reviewing the referees' reports and recommending approval or disapproval for the publication of the book.
- Recommendation to approve or reject the inclusion of the book within the minimum scientific output requirement for promotion.
- Other tasks assigned to the committee.
The Standing Committee for Appointments
Committee tasks:
- Recommending whether to approve or reject applications for appointment to the university for the position of assistant professor and above.
- Recommending whether to approve or reject transfer requests from faculty members and those in similar positions.
- Studying requests for resignation, early retirement, and hiring, and submitting recommendations regarding them to the Scientific Council.
- Other tasks assigned to the committee.
