The Department of Accounting at the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences aims to prepare students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in financial and managerial accounting, auditing, and modern accounting systems. The department focuses on equipping students with the fundamentals of financial analysis and the preparation of accounting statements and reports in accordance with local and international standards, enabling them to support economic and strategic decision-making within organizations.

Additionally, the department contributes to developing qualified professionals capable of practicing accounting with high professionalism in both the public and private sectors and participating in financial planning and control processes in alignment with labor market requirements and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

The accounting profession plays a fundamental role in the national transformation plans to achieve Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. From an accounting perspective, the Department of Accounting primarily aims to prepare students to acquire the latest developments in accounting science. This is achieved through the continuous development of the curriculum, taking into consideration the needs of the labor market, thereby providing students with greater opportunities to enter the workforce or pursue further education through graduate programs.

Another goal of the Department of Accounting is to equip accounting specialists with knowledge and general awareness of related sciences, enabling them to understand the role and impact of accounting on the economy, society, and other aspects of life. The department also seeks to support scientific research and contribute to opening new horizons in accounting research by guiding students and providing the necessary academic support, ensuring that the department actively contributes to the advancement of accounting knowledge.
