A Combined Workshop between Saudi Electronic University and Franklin University

President of SEU, Dr. Lilac Al-Safadi, started out the workshop which was attended by President of Franklin University, Dr. Decker, Vice-Presidents and Deans of Faculties at Franklin University and a number of officials at SEU. The workshop was organized today online through video conference.

They discussed the strategic partnership occurring between the two parties and way of enhancing it in the future in areas that support the labor market, development programs in the Kingdom and transforming in technology and education.

They also talked about possible aspects of cooperation due to providing specific programs that contribute to promoting the quality of e-learning and services provided to SEU students. This cooperation will also contribute to supporting digital transformation in the Kingdom, particularly in education.

In addition, they confirmed that they should cooperate together to make use of their experience over the past nine years in e-learning to support higher and undergraduate education of the transforming process of e-learning while keeping the quality of academic outcomes during the Corona pandemic.

At the beginning, President of Franklin University, Dr. Decker congratulated Dr. Al-Safadi on the occasion of her appointment as President of the University, wishing her success.

Afterwards, Dr. Al-Safadi welcomed President of Franklin University and University officials. And on behalf of SEU staff, she expressed her thanks for keeping such a distinctive strategic partnership. She looks forward to expanding the partnership in other several fields that contributes to achieving the Kingdom’s vision and supports the digital transformation in the Kingdom. As Saudi Electronic University has been a pioneer and a house of expertise in the latest technologies, practices and methodologies of e-learning. Thus the University strives to achieve the aspirations of the leadership and the Ministry of Education, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al Sheikh, who extremely supports higher education and Saudi Electronic University in particular.

It is worth to be mentioned that Saudi Electronic University has many strategic partnerships with international universities, including Franklin University, in order to develop academic programs and achieve quality in e-learning. The partnership included establishing courses online, evaluating e- courses, and teaching some courses in College of Administrative and Financial Sciences and the College of Health
